WHY DOES VOCAL HEALTH MATTER?

Your voice is your instrument, and just like any other instrument, it requires care and maintenance to perform at its best. Often overlooked, poor vocal health can lead to a range of issues including strain, fatigue, hoarseness, and even long-term damage. Whether you're preparing for an important performance or simply want to maintain the health of your voice for everyday communication, investing in vocal health is crucial.

WHAT IS A FIRST VOCAL HEALTH SESSION LIKE?

First sessions are slightly different to those that follow!

GETTING TO KNOW YOUAlicia will take the time to get to know you. She believes that understanding your unique goals, challenges, and aspirations is essential to crafting a personalized approach to your vocal health journey. You'll have the opportunity to share your experiences, concerns, and what you hope to achieve through our sessions together.

ASSESSMENT & EVALUATION: Alicia will conduct a thorough assessment of your current vocal abilities and habits. This may include vocal exercises, range testing, and evaluation of breathing techniques. By understanding where you're starting from, Alicia can tailor her approach to address your specific needs and goals effectively.

GUIDANCE: Throughout your first session, Alicia will provide valuable insights into vocal health and technique. You'll learn about the importance of proper breathing, vocal resonance, and vocal hygiene. Alicia believes that education is key to empowering you to take control of your vocal health.

CUSTOMISED PLAN: Based on your assessment and goals, Alicia will work with you to develop a customized plan for your vocal health journey. This plan will outline the specific techniques, exercises, and practices that will help you achieve your desired outcomes. Whether you're looking to improve your singing voice, enhance your public speaking skills, or simply maintain vocal health for everyday communication, Alicia will tailor the plan to suit your needs.

NEXT STEPS: Before concluding your first session, you'll have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have. Alicia will provide guidance on how to continue your practice outside of sessions and may recommend additional resources or exercises to support your progress.
